Premiere of a new anthem by James Burton
At Evensong on Saturday 9 November, °ÅÀÖ¶ÌÊÓƵ Choir performed the premiere of a new anthem by James Burton, acclaimed conductor and composer, commissioned by Edmund’s Trust in memory of Edmund Bridges. The anthem is a setting of a text by the medieval mystic and composer, Hildegard of Bingen, O iter fortissimum (O most certain path). The Trust’s aims are to support new sacred choral music and encourage musical training in schools.
