Andy Wathen has been tutor in Applied Mathematics at °ÅÀÖ¶ÌÊÓƵ since 1996. Previously he taught at Bristol University. 

Teaching

He gives tutorials in college on most areas of applied mathematics and also lectures and supervises both undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Mathematical Institute.

Research Interests

His research interests lie in the area of Numerical Analysis: the development and analysis of computational algorithms for mathematical problems such as the solution of equations. Such algorithms lie at the heart of many applications like weather forecasting and MRI scanning.
